Some quick insights about my work…

I feel drawn to imagery surrounding playful ideas like toys, pinatas, candies and sweets, for example because it is what I find nostalgic and speaks to my inner child. It fuels my inspiration to create work that is spontaneous and comforting in nature.

By surrounding myself with magical, ethereal themes and imagery, making cute characters and abstract worlds, I am allowing myself to play and feel freer expressing myself.

Lastly, I sometimes just have a need to create art and experiment with different mediums. I find that I gain more inspiration and better techniques when I am just having some fun with my art!
About Me
As someone that struggles with using words to express themselves, making art has pretty much been the only outlet in which I feel most confident in expressing myself. It’s much easier for me to work through moments in which I feel stuck and unable to process if I’m putting it down on some surface.
Sometimes art can be for the sake of expression, it is freeing to not feel like a message must be tied to every piece I make, my work can speak for itself. While my earlier work captures more of that childish nature, my current work really focuses on a mature perspective navigating adulthood and not losing the whimsy of what my childhood could have had.
Creating works that reflect the bits and pieces of my interests, that bring me joy, and finding methods in experimenting with different mediums can free open the blocked parts of my emotions.
